A Virginia DUI Class Long Ago May Have Avoided 24 DUI Arrests

Research has shown that a good Virginia alcohol class is helpful in avoiding recidivism among drunken drivers. That is why most courts in the United States make first-time offenders take an alcohol-class. Perhaps if Tracy Michael Decker had been ordered to an alcohol class after his first arrest for DUI he might not have driven intoxicated and gotten arrested 24 more times!!

For his pathetic actions, Decker was sentenced to seven years in prison for probation violation after the man's 25th arrest for drunken driving.

The 39-year-old had previously been convicted of DUI in Virginia Beach in July 2006 and had received a 20-year sentence with 15 years suspended. Decker was subsequently arrested four times for DUI in Alabama between January and April of 2011, violating his probation in Virginia Beach.

Also under the new sentence, Decker is ordered to remain on good behavior for 20 years after his release and receive treatment for substance abuse. He will not be allowed to drive for 20 years after his release. If it were up to me he would never have a license to drive.

This Guy is a real Winner!!

His most recent arrest in Virginia Beach came on Jan. 22, 2006, when he got into an argument with an employee at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel while stopping to pay the toll. When police responded to the incident, they determined that Decker's blood-alcohol level was .28, more than three times the legal limit. He also had an open container of alcohol in the car, and two unrestrained 4-year-old passengers.

Decker pleaded guilty in circuit court and was sentenced to 20 years, with 15 years suspended. He was released in August 2010, and then had four subsequent DUI arrests in Alabama.

Do you think he should be driving anymore? This guy is a menace to society.
