Are you like me – rooting for Lindsay Lohan to pull a “Robert Downey, Jr.”? Or are you so tired of her antics that you’re a hater?
As a counselor for both in-class and online alcohol classes, drug classes too, I am a fan of the sexy young actress and hope she can maintain her sobriety.
This past week marked the end of her probation for DUI. How did she celebrate - by throwing a party, of course. This according to US Magazine.
Lohan rented out the penthouse suite at the famed Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. Instead of a huge bash fueled by alcohol and other party favors, she and 45 of her closest friends watched Elizabeth Taylor’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”
While some of her friends partook in cocktails, the 25-year-old actress, surrounded her friends and family, including 18-year-old sister Ali, wisely chose to maintain her sobriety.
While her probation for Dui is past, she remains on probation for her theft of a necklace. Hopefully, that will be the last of her shenanigans.
We can only hope this is the beginning of a new “Lindsay Lohan.” Addiction is a terrible thing and with love and support by sober friends, here’s to hoping she stays clean.
